OPEN HOUSE & POT LUCK
OPEN HOUSE & POT LUCK
On December 7th from 6 - 7:30pm NewBrook Elementary will be having an Open House & Pot Luck . As you all know with everything that went on at the start of the school year we were not able to have either one. So, I spoke with the PTO and we have decided to combine the two. We thought it would be a nice opportunity for everyone to get together during the holiday season. This would be an informal Open House were you could stop by the classroom to meet your child's teacher and see their classroom. I would encourage parents to have their child show you their work and give you the grand tour, and when you done stop by the gym for the Pot Luck. I hope everyone can make it and I look forward to seeing everyone. I will make sure that a reminder gets sent home with your child so, please keep the date open.

The students at NewBrook Elementary school took part in a school- wide art contest to determine what their mascot and colors would be. As part of their art classes, each student worked on a drawing and color schemes for the school mascot. Once the drawings were completed, each class voted on a mascot and colors that would represent their class as a finalist. Once the finalists were chosen, I went around to all the classes so the students could cast their votes and drop them into our ballot box. It was a very close race and there were many great ideas. Today at a school- wide assembly the mascot and colors were announced. The students voted and the results are in:
