NewBrook Elementary School is located in Newfane, Vermont along the busy VT RT 30 corridor.  Nestled in a little hollow below the road, the school building is simple and the land surrounding quite expansive and beautiful.  NewBrook students enjoy a large play yard, an ever-expanding community garden, a network of hiking trails, an outdoor earth oven and a solar field which powers their new heating and cooling system. 

Hours: 8:00-3:00 (with after-school programming throughout the year)

Faculty: 37 full- and part-time faculty and staff

Principal: Scotty Tabachnick

Boards: NewBrook operates under the supervision of the West River Education District Board (4 members) which governs Newfane, Brookline, Townshend, and Jamaica school communities. The school is also advised locally by a Principal Advisory Committee which is comprised of parents, teachers, community members and the principal. 

Extra-curricular Features: Outdoor education (Four Winds), instrumental music, winter sports, artist residencies, soccer, basketball, baseball, farm to school program, Keewaydin trip, diversity week, art integration, spelling bee & geography bee teams, recycling and compost program
